Beneficiation Plant Tenders

Legend recently announced plans to begin phosphate rock and sales operations from its Paradise rock deposits for domestic value added sales and exports.

Legend has issued a number of "Request for Quotations" (RFQ's) for key beneficiation plant items - these pieces of equipment are long-lead time items. The deadline for submission of responses is Friday 23rd December 2011. 

The RFQ's include:

Rotary Screen - Legend requires a rotary screen/breaker to accept -250mm ROM ore, to tumble and screen the material at 25mm and to ensure that the +25mm silica-rich portion of ore can be separated from mill feed and discarded.

Rod Mill - Legend requires a rod mill to reduce the particle size of the mill feed from 100% passing -25mm to 55-60% passing 150um at a feed rate of 420tph.

Filtration Equipment - Legend requires 2 filtration systems. The first is to treat the floatation feed to ensure that 2.95Mtpa of cyclone overflow has solids content increased from 50% to a minimum 70%. The second filter is to treat concentrate, so that 1Mtpa of thickener underflow has solids content increased from 50% to 85%.

Thickeners - Legend requires 2 thickeners. The first will increase the pulp density of final (cleaner) concentrate from 25% solids to 50% solids. The second will increase the pulp density of final (scavenger) tails from 25% solids to 45% solids.
